The 120th BP McLean Guild is hosting the 1st annual potato feed to dig up proceeds for camp improvements. Please download the attachment for more informatoin.

Camporee arrival Friday night -6:00 pm-10am Sunday
Cuboree only arrival Saturday - 9:00 am
Day Events opening is at 10:00 am
Lunch 12:00 to 1:00 pm
Closing - 4:00 pm

There will be an informal campfire on Saturday night at 8:00 pm run by Fraser Cheam Area.

As a Youth or Scouter, have you ever hesitated to jump in and take on running an event because you weren’t even sure where to start? Or organized an event and found out there were a whole bunch of things you wished you knew from the beginning? Many of us have been there too and so, Fraser Valley Council is piloting a new Event Management Course on February 3-5, 2017!

The newly formed 120th McLean BP Guild is hosting a fundraiser, which includes:

• “60’s Sock Hop”
• November 26th, 2016
• Doors open at 6:30 pm
• Dinner 7:00 pm (roast beef dinner)
• Aldergrove Legion
• Door prizes, 50/50, silent auction

Our purpose in forming this Guild is to support Camp McLean to ensure its continued development, equipment, and needed maintenance.

Rogue Scout: Star Wars - Anime - Fantasy -Super Hero themed party demonstrating Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) activities for members of Scouts Canada. Learn how to put on STEM activities or bring and show your own ideas. Portions of the Scouts Canada Space Exploration kit will be demonstrated. The Scouts Canada Robotics Kit will be running. Trail Card activities of all age and Section levels including Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers will be shown. Program will also include:

  • Death Star Tunnel Challenge
  • Different ways to do Rockets
  • Including STEM in the Canadian Path Discussion
  • Glow in the Dark Kitchen and Food
  • Snacks for purchase
  • Build a Death Star geodesic dome
  • Networking and sharing different STEM ideas
  • Outdoor site (weather permitting)

All Councils, Areas, Sections, families and costumes welcome. Scientists from Let’s Talk Science UBC and Members from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geologists of BC will be helping out.

Camp McLean – September 30th, October 1st & 2nd.

THIS YEAR’s Camp Kick-Off will be another fun filled adventure for all!

The Basic Scouting Skills Program will be on Saturday and will enable 1st year Scouts to earn their permits. There are still many exciting events for the Activity Scouts to choose from on Saturday and Sunday. Lunch will be provided on Saturday. There will be activities for all participants on Saturday evening.
