About Scouts CanadaThe Fraser Valley Council supports and administers Scouting in the Fraser Valley area of British Columbia. Fraser Valley Council is one of twenty two Councils that make up Scouts Canada, and one of three in British Columbia and the Yukon.

The Fraser Valley Council encompasses the geographical area from Tsawwassen in the West, to the village of Anmore in the North, to the town of Hope in the East, but not including Richmond, Burnaby, Vancouver or areas north of Vancouver.

With more than 100,000 members, Scouts Canada (see is the nation’s premier youth-serving organization. Fraser Valley Council has about 8,000 members: 6,500 youth and about 1,500 volunteers.

WestSurDel Scouts will be hosting their 21st Cub Skills again this year. Where: Muskrat Meadows – Deas Island Park Date: Sunday, November 23rd, 2014 Time: 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost: $7.00 per attendee (meaning all youth and adults in your group) The cost includes lunch, snack,beverage & Campfire Blanket Badge Please see the attachment for more information. THIS YEAR’s Camp Kick-Off will be another fun filled adventure for all! The Basic Scouting Skills Program will be on Saturday and will enable 1st year Scouts to earn their permits. There are still many exciting events for the Activity Scouts to choose from on Saturday and Sunday. Lunch will be provided on Saturday. There will be activities for all participants on Saturday evening. For 3rd Year Scouts, there will be an LNT Canoe Camp at Cultus Lake - West Side Group campsite. Program will include Canoeing and Leave No Trace Instruction. Groups are to come self-contained for light weight camping Each troop to supply their own food and equipment Canoes will be provided Please download the attachments for more information on this awesome adventure. Bring your: Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturer Scouts & Rover Scouts for a free weekend of camping or just for the day with lunch, bonfire night, movie and a mug up supplied on Saturday Nov 8th. More »
City TV - Breakfast Television did a Camping 101 segment this morning featuring our Scouts and Venturer Scouts and our Youth Spokespersons. All the youth did a fantastic job providing tips on setting up tents, building a fire, packing for camp, and outdoor cooking. The omelettes in a bag were a hit with the host and crew, and Scouting was very well represented. Hello, It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of Melanie Walker as the Deputy Council Youth Commissioner Recognition for the Fraser Valley Council.
