Fraser Valley Council

About Scouts CanadaThe Fraser Valley Council supports and administers Scouting in the Fraser Valley area of British Columbia. Fraser Valley Council is one of twenty two Councils that make up Scouts Canada, and one of three in British Columbia and the Yukon.

The Fraser Valley Council encompasses the geographical area from Tsawwassen in the West, to the village of Anmore in the North, to the town of Hope in the East, but not including Richmond, Burnaby, Vancouver or areas north of Vancouver.

With more than 100,000 members, Scouts Canada (see
www.scouts.ca) is the nation’s premier youth-serving organization. Fraser Valley Council has about 8,000 members: 6,500 youth and about 1,500 volunteers.

Second year scout, Gabriel Riquelme, teamed with Deborah Jones from the Cougar Creek Streamkeepers to co-ordinate an invasive plant removal project in Delta. Cubs, scouts, leaders and parents turned out on Saturday March 14, 2015, to an Ivy Pull. Deborah explained to the group of 27 volunteers that English Ivy is not native to this part of the world and effectively strangles trees if left unchecked. More »
This past weekend (March 7, 2015), the 14th Annual Area Race Day for WestSurDel was again hosted by10th &17th Sur Del Scouting units. This annual event is traditionally held on the first Saturday in March and includes Beaver Buggy and Cub Car racing. More »
Camp McLean turns 50 years old in 2015.  To celebrate, Fraser Valley Council is asking for youth and adult members in Scouting to submit designs for the 2015 Camp McLean Badge. More »

Scouting Skills is being held on April 10th, 11th and 12th at CAMP McLEAN, - 20315 16th Ave., LANGLEY You pick the course that suits you best in each of the time periods. The courses are open to all registered Scouters, Venturer Scouts, Rover Scouts, Guiders and Rangers. Ranger & Venturer members must have appropriate paperwork completed for camp.
