Mark your calendars! The sixth annual Vancouver Mini Maker Faire is happening on June 10-11, 2017 at the PNE Forum. The Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth—a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning. Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community. This year Scouts Canada STEM will be there sponsoring a booth and a free activity - Robot Hand Construction. All tickets are good for both days. If you order online in advance you will save 20%. Buy tickets here: http://makerfaire.ca/ The STEM team is looking for volunteers to help run the booth and activity. We will be showing robots and other STEM examples. Please contact Tony at tonymarkeng@shaw.ca if you know anyone interested in helping out. For more information, please see the website http://makerfaire.ca/ Thanks, Tony Mark, National STEM team More »
