Fraser Valley Council

The Fraser Valley Council supports and administers Scouting in the Fraser Valley area of British Columbia. Fraser Valley Council is one of twenty two Councils that make up Scouts Canada, and one of three in British Columbia and the Yukon.

The Fraser Valley Council encompasses the geographical area from Tsawwassen in the West, to the village of Anmore in the North, to the town of Hope in the East, but not including Richmond, Burnaby, Vancouver or areas north of Vancouver.

With more than 100,000 members, Scouts Canada (see is the nation’s premier youth-serving organization. Fraser Valley Council has about 8,000 members: 6,500 youth and about 1,500 volunteers.

The newly formed 120th McLean BP Guild is hosting a fundraiser, which includes: • “60’s Sock Hop” • November 26th, 2016 • Doors open at 6:30 pm • Dinner 7:00 pm (roast beef dinner) • Aldergrove Legion • Door prizes, 50/50, silent auction Our purpose in forming this Guild is to support Camp McLean to ensure its continued development, equipment, and needed maintenance. Come and learn how to complete a Gaming Grant Application and learn what you need to know to keep your group's financial records in accordance with Scouts Canada. Rogue Scout: Star Wars - Anime - Fantasy -Super Hero themed party demonstrating Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) activities for members of Scouts Canada. Learn how to put on STEM activities or bring and show your own ideas. Portions of the Scouts Canada Space Exploration kit will be demonstrated. The Scouts Canada Robotics Kit will be running. Trail Card activities of all age and Section levels including Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers will be shown. Program will also include: Death Star Tunnel Challenge Different ways to do Rockets Including STEM in the Canadian Path Discussion Glow in the Dark Kitchen and Food Snacks for purchase Build a Death Star geodesic dome Networking and sharing different STEM ideas Outdoor site (weather permitting) All Councils, Areas, Sections, families and costumes welcome. Camp McLean – September 30th, October 1st & 2nd. THIS YEAR’s Camp Kick-Off will be another fun filled adventure for all! The Basic Scouting Skills Program will be on Saturday and will enable 1st year Scouts to earn their permits. There are still many exciting events for the Activity Scouts to choose from on Saturday and Sunday. Lunch will be provided on Saturday. There will be activities for all participants on Saturday evening.
