Welcome to Scouts Canada

Fraser Valley Council

The Fraser Valley Council supports and administers Scouting in the Fraser Valley area of British Columbia. Fraser Valley Council is one of twenty two Councils that make up Scouts Canada, and one of three in British Columbia and the Yukon.

The Fraser Valley Council encompasses the geographical area from Tsawwassen in the West, to the village of Anmore in the North, to the town of Hope in the East, but not including Richmond, Burnaby, Vancouver or areas north of Vancouver.

With more than 100,000 members, Scouts Canada (see www.scouts.ca) is the nation’s premier youth-serving organization. Fraser Valley Council has about 8,000 members: 6,500 youth and about 1,500 volunteers.

It is our pleasure to announce the appointment of Amy Ringrose as the Area Youth Commissioner for Fraser Cheam. Amy’s appointment is effective immediately and he will begin working closely with Dionne and Terry to support the area in the 5 priorities. I am very excited to have Amy join the team and continue to grow the youth involvement in Fraser Valley. With her dedication and enthusiasm for Scouting, Amy will be a great asset to the team. Amy has been very involved with her group as a GYC. She will be able to ensure that groups in Fraser Cheam are supported and exceed while on the Canadian Path.
